Between the months of September and December of 2007, Rachel saw Jamison everyday at the Pro Sports club where Jamison is a trainer and where Rachel works out. And every day when she’d see him with his clients she’d think to herself, “He is very, very cute.” One day Rachel saw Jamison working out himself and thought that she should take the first step and start a conversation. As Jamison was walking by, Rachel stopped him by saying “I think this is the first time I’ve seen you without clients”. Jamison’s response caught her off guard when he simply said, “What did you say?”

Popping the question was something I knew should be special. I decided to give myself the best birthday present I could ask for (August 9th). After taking a 1965 convertible Ford Mustang out for a quick drive, we approached Alki beach and decided to stop and take some pictures.

In October we went to beautiful Puerto Vallarta and I proposed to Annette on her birthday as the two of us watched the sun set over the Pacific in dazzling colors that matched her perfect ring.

Jocelyn and Caleb met at their company holiday party at Tech City Bowl in Kirkland. They were randomly selected to be on the same bowling team and became friends immediately. Shortly after, they began running together and training for a half marathon (Caleb’s first & Jocelyn’s third). A few more months after that, they realized they were more than just friends, and now it is nearly three years later the rest is HISTORY!

The whole plan started on December 14th when I decided to propose during our forthcoming trip to Paris. I asked my parents for their blessing and we all went to E.E. Robbins the next day to choose a ring.

Sarah and Jeremy met on Match.com, almost by accident. Jeremy came across Sarah’s profile before having paid for the service, and added her to his “Favorites” so he could find her again when he looked. Little did he know that Match then sent Sarah an email telling her that Jeremy had just “favorited” her, so she emailed him to ask why he didn’t at least say “hi”!

Amy and Andres met at a work event in October, 2007. Andres lived in Denver at the time, but soon moved to Seattle to take a job at company headquarters. Amy always said that she would never date someone that she worked with but, “his charm was too much and we’ve been together ever since!”

Brandi and I met on an online dating website. My friends created a profile for me in good cheer, and I was definitely skeptical at first, but after curiosity got the best of me, Brandi’s profile was the first to come up after a detailed search. After we corresponded, I knew that there was an immediate connection.

While waiting in a line, Andre noticed a very beautiful young Lonie waiting in line and he noticed that she was speaking his native tongue. “I have to get to know this girl!” They decided to date after several months of talking and dated long distance for 2 years before Andre decided it was time to pop the question.

Stacey and Joe knew each other from working together where they had become friends. Later they began dating and continued to discover more and more things they had in common. They like watching old movies, going for walks (especially on the beach in Maui if possible!!).

During the week we were very busy, so we would just converse on the phone for hours during the week, and see each other on weekends. The distance was actually a blessing because we were able to truly communicate and we realized that we shared a lot of values and beliefs. We knew early on that we were meant to be.

After 4+ years of dating, Kristen and Mike decided to move up to Seattle. Mike knew the proposal would come soon after their move and began scouting out a number of different jewelry stores in Seattle for the perfect ring. EE Robbins was his first stop. After visiting numerous other jewelers, he realized that EE Robbins diamonds, ring selection and customer service was second to none.

Brittany and Nick met in the hallways of a dormitory at Gonzaga University where they both attended college. They quickly became close and hung out with a small circle of friends who studied, cooked, and went on adventures together. It wasn’t until they had graduated and ended up relocating to the Seattle area that they started dating.

At the insistence of a friend, Shelley joined Chemistry.com and one of the first people she matched with was Greg! After exchanging a few emails, they agreed to meet at a Starbucks in Kirkland. It was a beautiful, sunny Labor Day. As they walked around Peter Kirk Park in the sunshine that day, Shelley found Greg to be a gentle guy who could make her smile.

“Although it took several years for me to actually propose, I had known I had wanted to marry Jessica from early on, but responsibilities and other reasons held me back. With a good job and becoming a homeowner for the first time, I finally was ready.”

At the first day of massage school sparks flew when Tovah saw Laurie and she knew immediately she wanted to know her.

Erin and Scott’s brothers were good friends growing up and playing football, so they knew each other casually since elementary school. The courting started when their brothers’ high school football team travelled for a game in Clarkston, WA. Erin and Scott sat next to each other, talking and laughing the entire trip. The rest is history!

Over a short conversation Stephen had mentioned that he was getting back into running. Brittany took that opportunity to mention that she would be running the next day and that he was welcome to join her. From there, things never slowed down and they were quickly in love with one another.

Katie & David met at the software company where they both worked. While they had known each other for a while at the office, they had never spent any time together outside of work until they both started training for the MS150 bike ride.
